NEW BEGINNINGS
The Woodlands Resort is embarking on an exciting $60-million expansion and renovation of the property, an 18-month project that will add a new guest room wing, a 1,000-foot lazy river and a restaurant while updating the resort’s 60,000-square-foot conference center.
While we work to expand our resort, be assured we’ve taken the utmost consideration to ensure the best possible guest experience. Our dedicated and professional staff is always focused on providing personal service and true Texas hospitality. The reinvention of our award-winning resort will be strategically planned in phases to maintain resort operations as usual.
New Rooms
In addition to the transformation of our existing 222 Fairway Pines guest rooms, the resort will introduce 184 new guest rooms and suites with views of the property's Panther TrailTM golf course in a new Fairway Pines building.
Our interior designers and architectural firm have conceptualized the new design and interiors of the resort with contemporary Texas architecture featuring strong elements of stone, steel and wood. Transparency, warmth of materials and a connectedness to the landscape will create a relaxing respite for both weekend getaways and productive business meetings.
New Restaurant
To complement The Woodlands Dining Room, Cool Water Café and Royal Mile Grill, we will introduce a new steak house overlooking the 18th green of Panther Trail. The 120-seat Texas restaurant will house a private wine vault and have seating available on an outdoor patio for guests to enjoy.
New Meeting and Event Facilities
As experts in Texas conferences and events, we will incorporate the newest meeting trends and creative offerings to our revitalized 60,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Included in the restyled space are the 13,430 square-foot Grand Ballroom, lobby and pre-function space.
More Fun
Kids (and adults!) of all ages will delight in the new signature lazy river, which will wind 1,000 feet through the surrounding forest highlighting the property’s Forest Oasis Waterscape™ where guests enjoy a lagoon-style pool, a two-story waterslide tower, flowing waterfalls and Puffy’s Sprayground™, a splash pad with pop fountains themed after The Woodlands’ mascot, Puffy Pine Cone. The poolside Cool Water Café, serving burgers, sandwiches, salads and flavorful drinks, completes the experience.
